LOS ANGELES -- LA Galaxy fell in the MLS Power Rankings presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment after falling to the San Jose Earthquakes.
The Galaxy dropped a 3-0 result to San Jose last Saturday, falling in the first Cali Clasico of 2019. Los Angeles return to action on Thursday when they host Toronto FC on the Fourth of July.

The Quakes humbled the Galaxy at Stanford Stadium on Saturday night, a sign that the paradigm is shifting between the two ancient rivals. LA certainly missed Jonathan Dos Santos in midfield, but the lack of production from Zlatan Ibrahimovic is most troubling. The Galaxy look like a team that very much needs summer reinforcements.
The Galaxy can't overcome the Stanford Stadium magic in the California Clasico. They remain in second place in the West, however, so they aren't in any immediate trouble. But the masses are starting to get restless over the combination of results and Zlatan Ibrahimovic's current mini-malaise.
