LA Galaxy II will play away midweek to take on Arizona United SC at Peoria Sports Complex on Wednesday, Aug. 13 before another road match against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday, Sept. 3 at Switchbacks Stadium.
All time, the Galaxy have gone 14-16-10 against Crew SC in the MLS Regular Season, including 10-7-4 in matches played at home. In their most recent matchup, played last year at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, the Galaxy earned a 1-1 draw behind Sebastian Lletget’s first-ever goal for the Galaxy. Saturday marks the only contest of between LA and Columbus this season.
In their last seven MLS matches at StubHub Center, the Galaxy have allowed just three goals. This season, the Galaxy are 6-0-7 at StubHub Center, scoring 24 goals while allowing just 11. The Galaxy have been one of the most successful MLS teams at home during the last four seasons, scoring 141 total goals at StubHub Center, the most of any team. The Galaxy’s home MLS record throughout the last four seasons is 40-5-18, with 141 goals for and just 47 against. Since 2014, the Galaxy have only lost five of their previous 62 MLS games at StubHub Center.
The LA Galaxy will aid in the fight against pediatric cancer when they participate in Bald is Beautiful and invite fans to shave their heads during the team’s match at StubHub Center against the Columbus Crew on Saturday. The LA Galaxy have set a goal to raise $10,000 in support of St. Baldrick’s Foundation and their mission to fund the most promising childhood cancer research.
