LOS ANGELES (Monday, Jan. 23, 2023) – The LA Galaxy today announced that the club has transferred midfielder Samuel Grandsir to Ligue 2 side Le Havre AC. Additionally, the Galaxy will retain a sell-on percentage of the transfer fee if Grandsir is sold to another club.
“We want to thank Sam for his contributions to the club and we wish him and his family all the best as they return back to France,” said LA Galaxy Head Coach Greg Vanney.
Grandsir, 26, tallied seven goals and 13 assists in 73 games played (49 starts) across all competitions in two seasons with the Galaxy (2021-22). During the 2022 campaign, Grandsir logged four goals and eight assists in 39 appearances (24 starts) across all competitions for LA. In his first season with the Galaxy, Grandsir registered three goals and five assists in 34 games played (24 starts) during the 2021 MLS Regular Season.
Prior to joining the Galaxy, the Evreux, France, native recorded 12 goals and 11 assists in 131 total appearances across all competitions for ES Troyes AC (2016-18), AS Monaco FC (2018-21), RC Strasbourg (2019) and Stade Brestois 29 (2019-20).
