Swope Park Rangers head home after a difficult match against Sacramento Republic FC on the road. They also lost to Sacramento with a final score of 3-1. In that match, Tyler Blackwood, Swope Park’s third leading goal-scorer, recorded his team’s only goal. Swope Park will need a win against LA Galaxy II to secure their spot in the playoffs, and will hope San Antonio FC (14-12-7, 49 points) falls to Rio Grande Valley FC (8-12-13, 37 points).
In August, LA Galaxy II hosted Swope Park Rangers at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium, which resulted in a 1-1 draw. In that match, Galaxy’s leading goal-scorer Frank Lopez found an equalizing goal to help secure a point for Los Dos.
