Los Dos are coming off of their first shoutout victory of the season and second consecutive win with a 1-0 victory over Tulsa Roughnecks FC. Miguel Aguilar recorded the game-winning goal in the match, scoring in back-to-back starts. In the 6th minute, Aguilar was able to convert on his own rebound to give Galaxy II the advantage. Wade Hamilton, Los Dos goalkeeper, protected the lead with six crucial saves and earned his second shutout of the year. Hamilton earned USL Team of the Week for his efforts.
Earlier this year, Los Dos fell 3-0 to Orange County SC on the road after finishing the contest with nine men. LA Galaxy II went 1-1-1 against Orange County SC in 2017, earning a 1-0 victory over OC in their last meeting at StubHub Center. In that match, neither side was able to gain the advantage in the first half. Los Dos was finally able to capitalize in the 57th minute after a perfectly assisted ball served by Ethan Zubak found former Galaxy II midfielder Ryo Fujii.
Orange County SC are 3-3-0 away from home this season, with their last two road games resulting in losses.
LA Galaxy II will also be hosting Cozmo's 15th birthday party and festivities will be sprinkled throughout the game. The party begins with the first 500 fans to arrive will receive exclusive, free LA Galaxy Cozmo socks. Some of Cozmo's best mascot friends will also make an appearance at the game to help him celebrate. Fans are also encouraged to bring a present, because Cozmo will be hosting a toy drive to benefit the young kids of Ronald McDonald House.
