After their third bye week in USL play, LA Galaxy II (5-10-4, 19 points) are back at home to host Portland Timbers 2 (9-9-2, 29 points) at 1 p.m. PT on Saturday, July 18 at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Los Dos will look to shift momentum after their last home game against Reno 1868 FC which resulted in a tough loss. Reno was on the board first, scoring early in the opening half. LA Galaxy II found themselves down 3-0 at half.
Shortly into the second half, Adrian Vera was able to find Justin Dhillon after clearing the ball from Los Dos’ end. Shielding the ball form one defender, and beating another one-on-one, Dhillon finessed the ball to score his first goal of the season. However, this was not enough and Galaxy II were unable to find a result against a solid Reno side.
Entering the second half of the season, LA Galaxy II will hope to continue their strong attacking performance at home. So far, Los Dos have recorded 21 of their 32 goals at StubHub Center, putting them in the top five attacking sides of USL’s Western Conference.
Since the sides last played each other in May, Portland Timbers 2 have had a difficult run, securing a result in only three of their last nine contests. The Timbers are coming off a tough loss at home against Las Vegas Lights FC.
