After going eight games unbeaten to start the season, a recent skid has seen Los Dos take one point from their last three matches. After two back-to-back losses against Sacramento Republic FC and Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2,Galaxy II most recently drew 1-1 away against Seattle Sounders FC 2. In the match, Los Dos played 65 minutes with 10 men after Alejandro Covarrubias earned two yellow cards early in the first half – he’ll be suspended for Sunday’s game against Arizona. Defender Dave Romney was selected to the USL Team of the Week with help from his equalizing goal in the 81st minute.
Having played more games in the USL than many other teams in the Western Conference, Los Dos have slipped in the standings over past weeks as other teams play more matches. They currently sit third with 17 points from 11 games played. Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 (6-0-3, 21 points) and Colorado Springs Switchbacks (6-2-0, 18 points) lead the Western Conference table.
Arizona United SC currently sit 13th in the Western Conference and have allowed the most goals in the league (19). They’ve had one league win since the start of April and come into Sunday’s match winless in their last five.

LAST MATCH
Seattle Sounders FC 2 1 | LA Galaxy II 1: Alejandro Covarrubias earned a second yellow in the 26th minute, forcing LA to play a large majority of the game with 10 men. Seattle scored just before the close of the half, but LA was able to escape with a point thanks to a late goal by defender David Romney. Nice build-up play from LA led to a corner in which Ethan Zubak headed the service back across the box perfectly to the feet of Romney who slid home the equalizer. An incredible extra-time save from Clement Diop in extra-time secured the result for Los Dos.
Arizona United SC 1 | Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC 3: Switchbacks FC took control early as Josh Suggs scored the first goal of the match in the eighth minute off an unassisted corner kick. Even though Arizona struggled to keep up with the organized possession of Switchbacks FC, defender Julian Ringhof put United on the board and tied the game 1-1, finding the back of the net off a header from a corner kick sent in by midfielder Luke Rooney in the 19th minute. Colorado Springs’ Miguel Gonzalez put Switchbacks FC ahead in the 32nd minute as he beat an Arizona defender and curled his shot inside the far right post to make it 2-1 at the half. Switchbacks FC sealed the deal in the 77th minute as substitute Saeed Robinson beat United goalkeeper Carl Woszczynski 1-on-1 to put his team up 3-1.
