Los Dos faced Orange County SC twice last week at Championship Soccer Stadium, going 1-1-0 in the two contests. After a 2-1 defeat midweek, LA Galaxy II rebounded with a 2-1 win over the weekend to move back into second place in Group B standings.
Forward Augustine Williams tallied his team-leading seventh goal while Mauricio Cuevas scored his fourth free kick goal of the season, the most of any professional soccer player in the United States this year.
In the first ever meeting between LA and San Diego, Los Dos earned a 1-0 win on July 19 behind a second-half Jesus Vazquez goal. Loyal SC enter the match with a 3-4-4 record on the year, with eight goals scored and 12 conceded. They are winless in their last eight contests.
LA Galaxy II have scored in five-straight home games and have notched seven goals overall in their previous three matches. They are now 6-4-0 with 18 points during the 2020 season (2-2-0 at home and 4-2-0 on the road).
