After putting up a seven spot in a decisive win over Sporting Kansas City, the LA Galaxy will try to move further up the table in the Western Conference against a Montreal Impact side looking to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The Galaxy (14-13-3) emphatically snapped a four-match unbeaten streak with a 7-2 home win over Sporting Kansas City Sunday night. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his third career MLS hat trick, Sebastian Lletget netted a brace and Joe Corona and Uriel Antuna added a goal apiece as the Galaxy erased an early deficit in a stunning rout.
The Impact (11-16-4) are three points below the playoff line with three games remaining after suffering a second consecutive loss at Stade Saputo, dropping a 1-0 decision to FC Cincinnati Saturday night. Allan Cruz scored the lone goal in the opening minute for the expansion side.
