The LA Galaxy look to extend a winning streak to three games when they host Bruce Arena's New England Revolution Sunday night at Dignity Health Sports Complex in Carson.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic made the most of his return from a two-game suspension to lead the Galaxy (9-5-1) to a 2-0 win over Sporting Kansas City at Children's Mercy Park Wednesday. After setting up Favio Alvarez's first MLS goal, Ibrahimovic latched onto a Uriel Antuna cross and buried his 10th goal of the season four minutes from full time.
The Revs (3-8-4) played D.C. United to a 1-1 draw Saturday at Gillette Stadium, the third consecutive game New England earned a point. Despite going down to 10 men when Matt Turner was sent off for DOGSO, Juan Agudelo put the Revs in front in the 61st minute, but Wayne Rooney converted a penalty kick in the 90th minute to secure a road point for D.C. United.
