The anticipated fourth chapter of El Trafico is finally here with the LA Galaxy hosting LAFC Friday night in Carson. The Galaxy are unbeaten in the short history of the new, yet intense rivalry, going 1-0-2 a year ago.
The Galaxy (11-8-1) are looking to rebound from a second loss of the season in the Cali Clasico falling to the San Jose Earthquakes at home Friday. Rolf Feltscher got the Galaxy off to a strong start with a 2nd-minute goal, but Vako leveled in the 61st minute and Danny Hoesen put the Quakes in front three minutes later. Jackson Yueill capped the come-from-behind win with an 85th-minute insurance goal.
LAFC (14-2-4) extended their Supporters' Shield lead to 10 points with a 3-1 win over the Houston Dynamo Friday at BBVA Stadium. Romell Quioto put the hosts in front in the 3rd minute, but Adama Diomande equalized in first-half stoppage time and gave LAFC the lead in the 49th minute. Diego Rossi capped the scoring in the 88th minute as LAFC made it three wins in a row.
