LOS ANGELES – Following a 1-0 win over Nashville SC in front of a sell-out crowd of 26,674 fans at Dignity Health Sports Park on April 23, the LA Galaxy (5-2-1, 16 points) travel to face Real Salt Lake (3-2-4, 13 points) at Rio Tinto Stadium (12:30 p.m. PT; Univision, UniMas) on Saturday, April 30.
Saturday’s match marks the 46th MLS regular-season meeting between LA and Real Salt Lake, with the Galaxy leading the series 19-16-10. In four matches played on the road during the 2022 campaign, LA holds a 2-1-1 record. The Galaxy enter the match against RSL riding a five match unbeaten run across all competitions (4-0-1) dating back to April 3, outscoring the opposition 7-2 during that span. In two matches played against Real Salt Lake during the 2021 campaign, Efraín Álvarez tallied one goal and one assist. After tallying an assist in the win over Nashville last week, LA Galaxy defender Derrick Williams was named to the MLS Team of the Week for Week 8.
