LA Galaxy II will hit the road for the second-straight match when they travel South to take on San Diego Loyal on Saturday, June 12 at 7:30 p.m. PT.
This year, Los Dos are 3-2-2 with eight points, with 15 goals scored and nine conceded for a +6 goal differential. In their last match, LA Galaxy II earned a 4-3 victory on the road against Orange County SC as Los Dos extended their record to 3-1-2 in their previous six matches. Midfielder Jorge Hernandez scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season as Preston Judd, Joshua Drack and Sebastian Nava also tallied to give the visitors all three points on the evening.
Saturday marks the first contest between Los Dos and San Diego Loyal, last meeting on Sept. 23, 2020 with a 1-1 draw resulting in the outcome. All time, LA are 1-1-1 against San Diego.
In 2020, Los Dos finished the regular season 8-6-2 with 26 points (4-3-1 at home and 4-3-1 on the road), earning them second place in Group B standings and clinching a berth in the USL Championship Playoffs for the second-straight season.
Head Coach Junior Gonzalez holds a 18-14-7 record throughout his head coaching tenure with LA Galaxy II and has led the team to two-consecutive playoff appearances. In the seven years of USL Championship competition, Los Dos have qualified for playoffs five times, in addition to a USL Western Conference Championship in 2015.
LA Galaxy II compete in the USL Championship Western Conference Pacific Division for the 2021 campaign alongside the following clubs: Las Vegas Lights FC, Oakland Roots SC, Orange County SC, Phoenix Rising FC, Sacramento Republic FC, San Diego Loyal SC and Tacoma Defiance.
