With two games remaining in their 2021 USL Championship campaign, LA Galaxy II play their final road game of the season by traveling to face the Tacoma Defiance at Cheney Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 24, at 1:30 p.m. PT live on ESPN+.
This year, Los Dos are 11-13-6 (39 points), with 53 goals scored and 53 conceded for a 0 goal differential. In their most recent match, LA Galaxy II fell 3-1 on the road to the Charleston Battery at Patriot Point Complex on Oct. 20. Daniel Aguirre tallied a goal, while Preston Judd registered an assist in the loss.
LA Galaxy II remain in fourth place in the Pacific Division, seven points behind third-place Orange County SC (13-10-7, 46 points) and four points ahead of fifth-place Oakland Roots SC (9-13-8, 35 points). The top four teams from each division in the regular season will advance into a regionalized single-elimination bracket for the playoffs. In their last eight games played dating back to Sept. 18, Los Dos have posted a record of 5-2-1, outscoring their opponents 12-7 and posting five shutouts during that span.

Sunday’s contest marks the third meeting between LA and Tacoma in 2021, with the series tied 0-1-1. In the last meeting between the two clubs, Galaxy II and Tacoma played to a 1-1 draw at Dignity Health Sports Park. 1.
During the 2021 campaign, Judd has ranks tied for seventh in the league in goals scored (15), while Jorge Hernández ranks second on LA with 12 goals scored, including the league with 86 chances created. Justin vom Steeg leads the team and ranks tied for fourth in the league with eight shutouts and 69 saves in 22 games played in 2021. Drack ranks tied for fourth in the USL Championship with nine assists. Notably, Galaxy II are 3-1-1 in their last five road games dating back to a 1-0 win at Oakland on Sept. 18, and hold a 7-7-1 record overall on the road in 2021.
Head Coach Junior Gonzalez holds a 25-25-11 record throughout his head coaching tenure with LA Galaxy II and has led the team to two-consecutive playoff appearances. In the seven years of USL Championship competition, Los Dos have qualified for playoffs five times, in addition to a USL Western Conference Championship in 2015.
