LOS ANGELES (Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022) – Continuing their 2022 preseason preparations, the LA Galaxy earned a 2-1 win over the New York Red Bulls in their final match at the Coachella Valley Invitational in Indio, Calif., on Sunday afternoon. Javier “Chicharito” Hernández tallied a goal, his second of the 2022 preseason, while Víctor Vázquez registered a goal and an assist in the victory over the Red Bulls. With the win over New York, the Galaxy improved to 4-0-1 in five preseason matches this year.

LA – Javier “Chicharito” Hernández (Víctor Vázquez), 54th minute: Raheem Edwards carried the ball down the left flank and picked out Vázquez down the middle of the field. Vázquez’s ensuing pass in behind the Red Bulls defense found Hernández, whose shot from the six-yard box was buried into the back of the net.
