CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy dropped their final preseason contest of 2018 on Saturday, falling 2-1 to Vancouver Whitecaps FC at StubHub Center.
Kei Kamara and Alphonso Davies found the back of the net to give the Galaxy their third consecutive preseason defeat. Giovani dos Santos scored the lone goal of the evening for Sigi Schmid’s squad. Los Angeles ends the preseason with a 2-4-0 record.

Los Angeles began the match strong but fell behind after Vancouver were awarded a penalty when Joao Pedro brought down Cristian Techera in the penalty area. A minute later, Kamara stepped up and slotted his penalty past Galaxy goalkeeper David Bingham.
Vancouver doubled their lead in the 51st minute when some poor defending allowed the ball to fall for Davies who beat Bingham near post.
The Galaxy got on the board through a penalty of their own in the 66th minute when Dos Santos fired an effort past Marinovic. The sequence began two minutes prior when Romain Alessandrini attempted an overhead kick that deflected off the outstretched arm of Whitecaps defender Marcel de Jong.
Midfielder Jonathan dos Santos missed the match due to precautionary measures. His replacement, Joao Pedro went 37 minutes before exiting with an apparent knee injury.
