The Vancouver Whitecaps found a way to win 1-0 on the road despite missing some key contributors, as the LA Galaxy continue their baffling 2017 home form - losing for the 6th time this season at the StubHub! Center Wednesday night tying a club record.
After playing compact for most of the match, the Whitecaps began to push forward in the second half earning fouls in dangerous positions. These opportunities paid off just after the hour mark, when Christian Bolanos sent in a free kick cross that found an unchallenged Tony Tchani.
Injury woes continued to haunt the Galaxy as even though Jermaine Jones made his MLS return as a second half sub, Romain Alessandrini had to lead the match early.
