LA Galaxy II defeated Loyola Marymount University Friday night at StubHub Center in a preseason exhibition behind a first-half hat trick from forward Ariel Lassiter. Los Dos continue to prepare for the 2016 opening USL match against Arizona United SC on Saturday, March 26, at 7:30 p.m. PT at the StubHub Center stadium.
Ariel Lassiter provided three first-half goals against Loyola Marymount University, tallying at the 1’, 24’ and 36’ minutes, giving Los Dos a perfect 4-0-0 record in their 2016 preseason exhibition matches. Lassiter was the leading scorer of Galaxy II last season, scoring 15 times between the USL Regular Season and USL Playoffs.
Galaxy II began their preseason training at StubHub Center earlier this month. In their most recent exhibition match, Los Dos earned a 5-0 win over University of Nevada Las Vegas at StubHub Center behind two goals from Jack McBean and tallies from fellow LA Galaxy Academy products Jose Villarreal, Bradford Jamieson IV, and Adonis Amaya. Galaxy II have also recorded a 3-2victory over San Diego State University and a 3-2 win over Cal State Fullerton at StubHub Center during the team’s preseason training.
