LA Galaxy II (10-15-7, 37 points) drew 2-2 with Seattle Sounders FC 2 (5-20-6, 21 points) on the road Wednesday night in Tacoma, Wash.
Los Dos fell behind late in the first half, taking on 2-0 deficit during a span of three minutes. On the first, a redirected save from Eric Lopez popped out to the top of the box, taken advantage of by an oncoming Alex Roldan. Three minutes later, Lamar Neagle bested Hugo Arellano placing a beautiful left-footed strike in the back of the next.
But LA Galaxy II would respond, with help from an expert free kick take from Emmanuel Appiah. Appiah popped the chance from just outside of the box over the wall and into the near-side netting in what was the finest free kick goal from an LA Galaxy II player this year.
Los Dos entered the half trailing one, and still struggled to threaten Seattle in the next 45. But, late in the second half, they found an equalizer with what would only be their second shot on target that night. The decisive moment came when Diedie Traore crossed in a perfect ball to Frank Lopez, who was right on the penalty spot. Lopez handled the cross, spun, and blasted the game-tying goal into the back of the net.
