LA Galaxy II (11-10-11, 44 points) fell 2-0 to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC (7-20-5, 26 points) on Saturday night in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The Galaxy were undone in the later part of the first half, conceding goals to Matthew Hundley and Saeed Robinson before the halftime whistle.
On the first, midfielder Shane Malcolm initiated the fast break with a sideline meg, then found Saeed Robinson making a run into the box. Robinson whiffed on his attempt, but the ball rolled perfectly into the path of Hundley at the back post, who put away the opener.
Robinson got his chance 10 minutes later, on a rebound of his own shot. It was the first time since June that Colorado Springs scored more than one goal in a match.
This was the second of three straight matches on the road for LA Galaxy II. LA Galaxy II away next weekend taking on Fresno FC at 7:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Chukchansi Park in Fresno, Calif.
