LOS ANGELES (Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021) – Playing their second game in five days, LA Galaxy II fell 4-2 on the road to San Diego Loyal SC at Torero Stadium on Sunday night.

SD – Augustine Williams (Elijah Martin), 11th minute: Augustine Williams scored the opening goal in the 11th minute after Elijah Martin drove to create space on the left for a cross to the center of the penalty area that picked out the Sierra Leone international unmarked for a header into the left corner of the net. *
SD – Corey Hertzog (Augustine Williams), 41st minute: Corey Hertzog doubled San Diego’s lead four minutes before halftime when a cross to the far post by Douglas Martinez Jr. was knocked back by Williams to find the forward, who fired home a first-time left-footed finish into the right corner of the net.
LA – Kai Koreniuk (Owen Lambe), 63rd minute:* Owen Lambe notched an assist as Kai Koreniuk halved the deficit with a cushioned volley from eight yards off an angled cross that found the right corner of the net.
SD – Corey Hertzog (Tumi Moshobane), 65th minute: Tumi Moshobane laid off a pass to Hertzog, who fired his shot from the center of the box into the top left corner of the goal.
SD – Tumi Moshobane (Collin Martin), 78th minute: Moshobane received a pass from Collin Martin just outside the penalty area and then cut inside onto his left foot before shooting low into the left corner.
LA – Rémi Cabral (Taylor Davila), 87th minute: Galaxy II pulled another goal back in the 87th minute as Taylor Davila broke down the right in behind the Loyal defense to deliver a cross that Rémi Cabral volleyed home.
