Brag to your friends about how good you are at FIFA 18? Now you'll have an opportunity to show your stuff in front of an international audience.
Major League Soccer is offering two amateur EA FIFA players the chance to showcase their skills at the first-ever eMLS All-Star Challenge presented by Wells Fargo in Atlanta.
The 8-team, 2-v-2 tournament will be held on Wednesday, August 1 (streamed LIVE 1pm-4pm on Twitch, Facebook & YouTube) and it will feature two spots reserved for the winners of the two Open Qualifiers that will take place at MLS Digital HQ in Atlanta (200 Peachtree St NW in Atlanta):
- Sunday, July 29 (2pm-6pm)
- Tuesday, July 31 (12pm-4pm)
Open Qualifiers
The two eMLS All-Star Challenge Open Qualifiers will feature a 64-player, single-elimination bracket with the winner claiming a spot in the eMLS All-Star Challenge, $500 and two tickets to MLS All-Star Game.
If you or someone you know – US & Canada residents 16 years of age or older – is a skilled EA FIFA player, registration is now open for both open qualifying tournaments.
Prospective players need to sign up online and then be among the first 64 amateur players who check in with valid photo ID. Check-in opens at 1 pm local time for the Sunday Open Qualifier and 11 am local time for the Tuesday Open Qualifier
eMLS All-Star Challenge
The two Open Qualifiers winners will join a 16-player field that includes eight eMLS players, an MLS player, a European challenger and four celebrity guests in the eMLS All-Star Challenge tournament.
The 16 players will be paired to form eight teams (more details to follow) and Wells Fargo will make a $5,000 donation to the charity of the winning team.
