The Houston Dynamo signed Jamaican international central defender Jermaine Taylor on Wednesday, adding to a long list of Reggae Boyzz who have plied their trade in MLS.
Jamaica has certainly sent some gems this way, too. Take, for example, the following:
Damani Ralph: Bagged 22 goals in 55 games for the Chicago Fire after breaking the rookie scoring record with 11 tallies in 2003.
Wolde Harris: Scored 50 goals over a six-year stint with the Colorado Rapids and the New England Revolution.
Tyrone Marshall: Now in his 14th MLS season, Marshall has won two MLS Cups, two Supporters' Shields, two Western Conference Championships and two US Open Cups.
Omar Cummings: Last year Cummings tallied a career-high 14 goals, adding to his overall haul of 30 in four seasons. He also has 19 career assists to his name.
Andy Williams: An RSL original, Williams was the Claret-and-Cobalt's first selection in the 2004 Expansion Draft. He owns rings for the MLS Cup, Supporters' Shield and the US Open Cup.
Donovan Ricketts: The LA goalkeeper is comparatively new to MLS, but he's certainly made his mark, collecting both Supporters' Shield and Goalkeeper of the Year honors last season.
