On the match…
“I think the guys took the information from the gameplan that we had. They stayed compact. Our goal was to hit them in transitional moments. Right off the bat we had a one-on-one with [Ethan] Zubak. We had multiple opportunities to finish. In that respect, I’m proud of the guys and their effort. The game was full of momentum changes. As far as the gameplan and their ability to execute it, I was really proud of the guys tonight.”
On Los Dos’ response to Phoenix’s first goal:
“When we made the error in the buildup and they got the first goal, I could see the guys get a little bit worried and a little bit rattled from a mental standpoint. That’s more just ebbs and flows of the game.”
On the message to a young team after a game like this:
“The main thing is that they stay disciplined. We were up in a game that we were controlling, and the wheels fell off once they scored the first goal. I just told them that we need to be more professional no matter what happens. We just have to make sure that we keep our heads and that we stay focused on the gameplan and that we continue to execute what we’ve been doing in training.”
