LA Galaxy Midfielder Riqui Puig named to MLS Team of the Matchday presented by Audi for Matchday 31

LA Galaxy midfielder Riqui Puig has been named to MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 31 after leading a 2-2 comeback draw vs. St. Louis CITY SC. After a handball was whistled inside the box, Riqui Puig fired his penalty-kick attempt past a diving Roman Bürki into the left side of the goal for the Galaxy's first goal of the match.

Puig recorded his team-leading seventh regular-season goal. He has tallied six goals and four assists in his last 10 appearances across all competitions dating back to July 1.

Defender Maya Yoshida was also named to Team of the Matchday bench.
