Six LA Galaxy players set to feature for national teams

LOS ANGELES (Wednesday, June 2, 2021) – The LA Galaxy have had six players called up for national team duty to their respective national teams for upcoming matches: Sebastian Lletget (USA), Jonathan dos Santos (Mexico), Giancarlo Gonzalez (Costa Rica), Carlos Harvey (Panama), Oniel Fisher (Jamaica) and Augustine Williams (Sierra Leone).

Lletget, Dos Santos and Gonzalez join their national teams ahead of CONCACAF Nations League matches, which will feature two Semi-Final contests on June 3 before the Final and Third-Place matches on June 6. All contests will be played at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado. Lletget started for the USMNT during Sunday’s friendly match vs. Switzerland in which he scored his seventh goal internationally.

Midfielder Carlos Harvey joins his native Panama for upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in Group D as they face Anguilla (June 5) and Dominican Republic (June 8), while Oniel Fisher and Jamaica take on Japan (June 3) and Serbia (June 7) in two friendly matches. Forward Augustine Williams will join Sierra Leone for an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match against Benin (June 14).

In their next match, the LA Galaxy are set to host the Seattle Sounders at Dignity Health Sports Park on June 19 at 6 p.m. PT live on Spectrum SportsNet.
