- Colombian defender Emiro Garces, 22, makes his first career start for the LA Galaxy in tonight’s Leagues Cup match against Chivas. Garces has made four appearances (0 starts) across all competitions for the Galaxy during the 2024 campaign. At the international level, Garcés was previously called up to by the Colombian National Team for a domestic training camp back in October of 2022.
- Eriq Zavaleta makes his second start (6th appearance) across all competitions during the 2024 campaign for LA in tonight’s match against Chivas. Zavaleta, who turned 32 on Aug. 2, has tallied three goals in 23 appearances (11 starts) across all competitions for the in three seasons played (2022-Present) for the Galaxy.

- John Nelson makes his seventh start (17th appearance) across all competitions during the 2024 campaign in tonight’s match against the C.D. Guadalajara. Nelson notched his first assist for LA in the 3-2 win over the Portland Timbers on July 20. The Medina, Ohio, native has recorded five assists in 86 career MLS appearances (51 starts) across six seasons played in the league (2019-24).
