Lineup Notes: 

  • Jonathan Klinsmann, who made his first start of the season against Portland on March 25 and earned a shutout, gets his fourth consecutive start of the 2023 campaign in the match against LAFC. Klinsmann has made 11 career regular-season appearances (10 starts) and posted three shutouts for the LA Galaxy.
  • Calegari makes his fourth consecutive start for LA in the match against LAFC. Since making his debut for the Galaxy against the Portland Timbers on March 24, Calegari ranks tied for first on the team with Tyler Boyd with seven chances created.
  • Chris Mavinga makes his second start of the season in Sunday’s match against LAFC. Mavinga has tallied four assists in 129 career regular-season matches played (117 starts) in seven seasons played in MLS.
  • Making his sixth consecutive start for the Galaxy is 19-year-old Homegrown defender Jalen Neal, who leads the team in clearances (18), ranks tied for first in blocks (6) and second on the Galaxy in interceptions (8).
  • Raheem Edwards, who has tallied one career assist against LAFC and played for them during the 2021 campaign, makes his seventh start of the season at left back.
  • Gastón Brugman makes his seventh start of the 2023 campaign. According to Pro Football Focus FC, Brugman leads MLS in line-breaking passes completed (111), with the next closest player being Toronto FC’s Michael Bradley (80). Brugman leads MLS in passes attempted (546), successful passes (492) and ranks tied for fourth in MLS in possessions won (59).
  • Designated Player Riqui Puig makes his seventh start of the season for LA. Puig ranks first in MLS in successful passes entering the final third (138), second in MLS in dribbles completed (24) and third in successful passes (420).
  • Mark Delgado makes his seventh start of the 2023 campaign for the Galaxy in the match against LAFC. Delgado has tallied two goals and four assists in 39 matches played (38 starts) across all competitions for the Galaxy.
  • Making his sixth start of the season for the Galaxy is Memo Rodríguez, who recorded 17 goals and 14 assists in 142 career regular-season games played (86 starts) across eight seasons played in MLS. Rodríguez has tallied two career goals in nine games played (7 starts) against LAFC.
  • Tyler Boyd makes his fifth consecutive start for the Galaxy in the match against LAFC. Boyd ranks third on the Galaxy with 10 dribbles completed during the 2023 campaign, and has tallied two goals and one assist in 10 career appearances (6 starts) for the U.S. Men’s National Team
  • Making his first start of the 2023 MLS Regular Season is Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, who has tallied 38 goals and five assists in 71 appearances (61 starts) across all competitions in his career for the LA Galaxy.
