Lineup Notes:

  • Jonathan Bond, who has tallied six shutouts in league play this year, makes his 21st start during the 2022 MLS Regular Season. 
  • Starting at right back is Julián Araujo, who was named an MLS All Star for the second consecutive season and makes his 93rd career appearance across all competitions for the Galaxy.  
  • Eriq Zavaleta makes his second start of the season and his first since starting and playing 61 minutes against Real Salt Lake on April 30. 
  • Starting alongside Zavaleta is Derrick Williams, who has one assist in 17 league appearances (15 starts) in league play in 2022. 
  • Making his second consecutive start for the Galaxy is Chase Gasper, who has appeared in seven matches (2 starts) for LA this year.
  • Gastón Brugman makes his LA Galaxy debut with the start against Atlanta. The Uruguayan midfielder tallied three goals and six assists in 34 games played (30 starts) across all competitions on loan with LaLiga2 side Real Oviedo during the 2021-22 campaign.
  • Rayan Raveloson makes his 20th regular-season start for the Galaxy during the 2022 campaign. Raveloson has tallied three goals and one assist in four matches played dating back to July 4. 
  • Mark Delgado returns to the starting lineup after missing the previous two matches due to Health and Safety Protocols. Delgado has tallied two goals in 17 games played (17 starts) in his first season with the Galaxy. 
  • After tallying an assist off the bench against the San Jose Earthquakes on July 13, Kévin Cabral makes his 14th start of the season. 
  • Starting on the right wing is Douglas Costa, who makes his first start for the Galaxy since playing 90 minutes against Minnesota United FC on May 18. 
  • Kévin Cabral gets the start out on the left. Cabral tallied an assist in his last appearance at Dignity Health Sports Park against the San Jose Earthquakes on July 13. 
  • Returning to the starting lineup is* Javier “Chicharito” Hernández*, who was named an MLS All Star for the second consecutive season and has tallied seven goals in 18 regular-season games played this season.
