- Playing in the heart of defense is Séga Coulibaly, who has made three consecutive starts to begin the 2022 campaign.
- Next to Coulibaly is Nick DePuy, who made a career-high 25 appearances (18 starts) and added an assist in his second season in LA in 2021.
- Playing at left back is Raheem Edwards, who has tallied an assist in three consecutive matches in his first season with the Galaxy. Edwards’ three assists ranks tied for first in MLS in that category in 2022.
- Mark Delgado makes his fourth consecutive start for the Galaxy in midfield. The 26-year-old has tallied 17 goals and 24 assists in 221 regular-season appearances (190 starts) in his 10-year career in MLS.
