  • 2022 MLS Cup MVP John McCarthy makes his 18th start in goal for the LA Galaxy in tonight’s match against Real Salt Lake. McCarthy, who made four saves and posted his third shutout of the season in a 2-0 win over New York City FC on June 19, posted four shutouts in eight matches played during LAFC’s run to the 2022-23 Concacaf Champions League Final, earning Golden Glove honors and being named to the Concacaf Champions League Best XI.
  • Japanese International defender Miki Yamane, who recorded two assists in the 4-2 win over Sporting KC on June 15, makes his 19th appearance (19th start) during the 2024 campaign. Yamane was named to the J1 League Best XI in three consecutive seasons (2020, 2021, 2022), and helped Kawasaki Frontale earn two J1 League titles (2021, 2020), two Emperor’s Cup titles (2020, 2023) and one Japanese Super Cup (2021).
  • Uruguayan National Team legend Martin Cáceres makes his 12 appearance (12th start) of the 2024 campaign in tonight’s match against RSL. Cáceres, who has played in four FIFA World Cups for Uruguay, has tallied two goals and one assist in 37 career appearances (36 starts) across all competitions in three seasons with LA (2022-Present).
  • Japanese International defender Maya Yoshida captains the Galaxy in tonight’s match. Yoshida, who has recorded two goals in 19 appearances (19 starts) during the 2024 campaign, has tallied three goals in 31 career regular-season appearances (31 starts) for LA.
  • John Nelson, 25, makes his ninth appearance (2nd start) of the 2024 campaign for the Galaxy in tonight’s match against Real Salt Lake. The Medina, Ohio, native has registered four assists in 79 career MLS Regular-Season appearances (47 starts).
  • Tucker Lepley, 22, makes his first career MLS start in tonight’s match for the Galaxy. Lepley, who has tallied one assist in 11 appearances (11 starts) for Ventura County FC during the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Regular Season, has made 2 appearances (0 starts) for LA in MLS play. Lepley was selected by the Galaxy in the Third Round (No. 62 overall) of the 2024 MLS SuperDraft after recording 11 goals and 10 assists in 45 games played (41 starts) across a three-year career at UCLA (2021-23).
  • Edwin Cerrillo makes his 20th appearance (14th start) for LA this season in tonight’s match against NYCFC. Cerrillo has notched five assists in 116 games played (83 starts) in six seasons played in MLS (2019-Present).
  • Diego Fagundez, who has tallied three goals and three assists in 19 appearances (10 starts) for LA, starts as the No. 10 in tonight’s match against Real Salt Lake.
