  • Colombian defender Emiro Garces, 23, makes his first start of the 2025 MLS Regular Season in tonight's home opener. Garces ended the 2024 MLS Regular Season with one assist in nine matches played (4 starts) in his first season with the Galaxy. Garces has recorded two assists in 15 career matches played (10 starts) across all competitions with LA.
  • Japanese International defender Maya Yoshida captains the Galaxy in tonight’s match against San Diego. Yoshida ended the 2024 MLS Regular Season with two goals and one assist in 34 matches played (34 starts) and was the only player on the Galaxy roster to appear in every match across during the 2024 season. Yoshida recorded two goals and two assists in 41 matches played (41 starts) across all competitions during the 2024 campaign. Notably, Yoshida played in three FIFA World Cups (2014, 2018, 2022) for the Japanese National Team. The MLS Cup win against the New York Red Bulls marked the first club title in Yoshida's career.
  • John Nelson starts at left back in tonight's match against San Diego. Nelson ended the 2024 MLS Regular Season with one assist in 23 matches played (12 starts). In his first season with the Galaxy in 2024, Nelson recorded one goal and four assists in 31 matches played (20 starts) across all competitions.
  • Marco Reus, who won his first club title following the 2-1 win over the New York Red Bulls in MLS Cup 2024 on Dec. 7, starts in midfield in tonight's match at Dignity Health Sports Park. The Dortmund, Germany, native tallied one goal and four assists in 11 matches played (6 starts) across all competitions for the Galaxy in 2024.
  • Edwin Cerrillo starts as the holding midfielder in tonight's match against SDFC. The Waco, Texas, native tallied one goal and four assists in 41 matches played (32 starts) during the 2024 season. Cerrillo ended the 2024 MLS Regular Season with one goal and two assists in 33 matches played (24 starts).
  • Making his LA Galaxy debut is 21-year-old Lucas Sanabria. The Uruguayan midfielder, who was acquired from Club Nacional de Football and signed to a five-year contract through the end of the 2029 MLS season, recorded five goals and four assists in 46 matches played (41 starts) across all competitions (Campeonato Uruguayo Clausura & Apertura, Copa AUF Uruguay, Copa Libertadores, Torneo Intermedio) for Nacional since signing a professional contract with them in January of 2024.
  • 2024 MLS Newcomer of the Year Gabriel Pec, who finished the 2024 MLS Regular Season with 30 goal contributions (16 goals, 14 assists) in 33 appearances (30 starts), starts on the right wing against SDFC. Pec recorded 21 goals and 17 assists in 41 matches played (38 starts) across all competitions during the 2024 campaign. Pec scored the fastest goal in LA Galaxy history (27 seconds; Regular Season & Playoffs) in the 4-2 win over Minnesota United FC on Nov. 24, 2024.
  • Diego Fagundez starts on the left wing in tonight's match against San Diego. Fagundez recorded five goals and six assists in 41 matches played (21 starts) during the 2024 campaign for LA. Fagundez has tallied 73 goals and 76 assists in 392 career MLS regular-season games played (287 starts). Notably, Fagundez’s 149 career goal contributions ranks second amongst all active players in MLS behind only Luciano Acosta (169).
  • Santa Ana, Calif., native Christian Ramirez makes his LA Galaxy debut in tonight's match against San Diego FC. Ramirez totaled 19 goal contributions (10 goals, 9 assists) in 37 matches played (23 starts) across all competitions (MLS Regular Season, MLS Cup Playoffs, Leagues Cup, Campeones Cup, Concacaf Champions Cup) for the Crew during the 2024 campaign.
