Staff Sergeant Huynh graduated from high school in 2015 and enlisted in the United States Army as a M1 Armor Crewman. Upon completion of basic training, he was assigned to Dakota Company 6th, Squadron 9th Calvary Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Calvary Division at Fort Cavasos.
During his time with Dakota Company, he served as the driver, loader, gunner, and tank commander for the M1 Abrams Tank. Huynh was then deployed with his company to Kuwait and South Korea.
Staff Sergeant Huynh was part of operation Spartan Shield Kuwait and later was sent to Syria where he served as a gunner for the M240B and provided security in a forwarded operating post.
He was awarded the Global War on terrorism expeditionary medal and Army Achievement medal with combat device. Huynh is currently assigned to the Granda Hills station as a recruiter.
