United States Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel, Benjamin Phillips is our Hero of the Match | July 4, 2024

Lieutenant Colonel Ben Phillips was born in Okinawa, Japan and raised in Woodstock, Illinois. He joined the Marine Corps in 2006 as an infantry officer.

During his 18 years of service, he has been stationed in multiple locations across the country. He also deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Japan, the Philippines, and various other countries across the Pacific as a member of the 31s Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Battalion Landing Team.

Lieutenant Colonel Ben Phillips assumed the duties and responsibilities as the Inspector and Instructor, Second Battalion, Twenty-third Marines, Fourth Marine Division in Pasadena, California.

Some of Lieutenant Colonel Phillips’ awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with valor device, and the Combat Action Ribbon

Phillips is also a proud father to four children and will be celebrating his 16-year wedding anniversary tomorrow!
