United States Marine Corps Major Adam Sanchez is our Hero of the Match | Sept. 14, 2024

Major Adam Sanchez has been in the United States Marine Corps for over 21 years. After graduation from the School of Infantry as a machine gunner, he reported to Company B, 1st Battalion 7th Marines. Shortly after, he was deployed to iraq for "Operation Iraqi Freedom."

After deployment, Major Sanchez was recognized as the Instructor of the Cycle, the Combat Instructor of the Quarter, and was meritoriously promoted before becoming the Chief Machine Gun Instructor.

Sanchez then completed Officer Candidate School as a distinguished gradaute from Texas A&M University.

Following graduation, he checked into 2nd Battalion 6th Marines, serving as a Rifle and Weapons Platoon Commander, Company Executive Officer and Company Commander. During this period, he deployed with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit where he supported “Operation Inherent Resolve” in northern Iraq. After depolyment, he was awarded the Tarawa Award for Excellence in Leadership.

Major Sanchez continues to serve at the recruiting station in Los Angeles as the Commanding Officer.
