Sergeant Major Tricia Smith-Leavy enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1996. She served two tours as a Drill Instructor at Paris Island, South Carolina and also served as a Sergeant Instructor, Platoon Sergeant and Physical Training Instructor at Officer Candidate School, Quantico Virginia. She was subsequently assigned to 1st Marine Division where she completed two combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Additionally, she was the Command Senior Enlisted for 1st Supply Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, Marine Aircraft Group-11, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing and Headquarters Battalion for the 1st Marine Division.
Some of Smith-Leavy’s awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal and the Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Gold Star 3rd Award.
Sergeant Major Smith-Leavy is currently the Command Senior Enlisted for Marine Corps Air Station, Camp Pendleton California.
