Sergeant Holstein enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2019 where he completed recruit training and shortly after attended Combat Training at Camp Geiger. Upon completion he was assigned as the MOS 3043 Supply Administration Specialist and promoted to Private First Class.
Holstein then reported to the Marine Aircraft Group 26, Marine Corps Air Station in Jacksonville, North Carolina in 2020. He was then deployed with the Marine Tiltrotor Squadron 266 to Spain, where he created the North and West African Response Force account MX3002 as the Supply Chief billet. He then returned to his unit MAG-26 in 2021, where he was given the billets of Admin Chief and Fiscal Chief and was promoted to Corporal.
Holstein took part in the Fiscal Year 22 Field Supply and Maintenance Analysis inspection as the Fiscal Chief, where he quadrupled the results from the previous inspection. Shortly after the inspection Holstein attended and passed the Aquatics Maximum Power and Intensity Training to become an AMP-IT instructor for his unit.
Holstein helped with the coordination and transfers of three Marine Expeditionary Units and two North African Response Force deployments totaling over $66.8 million in assets transferred to the unit for the deployments. Shortly after he was promoted to Sergeant in 2023.
Sergeant Holstein attended the Supply Chain Intermediate Course in 2023 and graduated 7th in his class on December 14th, 2023. He was directed to report to 2nd Battalion 23rd Marines, Pasadena, California where he currently is stationed and holds the billet of Fiscal Chief.
His awards include Three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals.
