LA Galaxy midfielder Daniel Aguirre was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 2 after starting and playing 90 minutes in LA Galaxy II’s 2-1 loss to San Antonio FC at Dignity Health Sports Park on March 19.
Aguirre, 22, tallied his second assist of the season and registered a game-high 10 chances created in the loss to San Antonio. In two games played (2 starts) for Los Dos, while on loan from the Galaxy, Aguirre ranks tied for first in the USL Championship with assists (2) and leads the league in chances created (14) during the 2022 campaign.
Playing their second match at home, LA Galaxy II next play host to Rio Grande Valley FC Toros at Dignity Health Sports Park on Wednesday, March 23. Beginning at 7:30 p.m. PT, the match against Rio Grande Valley will be streamed live on ESPN+.
