LOS ANGELES -- Zlatan Ibrahimovic's legendary 500th goal has been nominated for the prestigious Puskas Award by FIFA, the association announced on Monday.
Ibrahimovic, who is no stranger to scoring incredible goals, tallied his 500th finish in remarkable fashion with a karate-kick volley in the Galaxy's match against Toronto FC last September. The LA Galaxy striker's goal is nominated alongside many others including Lionel Messi and U.S. Women's National Teamer Amy Rodriguez.
Voting for the award runs through Sept. 1 with all encouraged to vote. The public vote will decide the final three with FIFA legends choosing the winner.
