JACK MCBEAN vs. PORTLAND TIMBERS 2

Jack McBean is just lighting up the USL in 2016. The league’s leading scorer continued his red-hot form against T2 when Alejandro Covarrubias launched a long ball toward Bradford Jamieson IV. Jamieson then skillfully cuts by a defender and dished his cross toward McBean who slotted it home.

ROBBIE KEANE vs. VANCOUVER WHITECAPS FC

Robbie Keane showcased his brilliance with a trademark goal against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on July 4. After Jeff Larentowicz won the ball in midfield and found a charging Steven Gerrard, the Englishman played the ball to Keane, who effortlessly curled a shot past a helpless David Ousted.

ROBBIE KEANE vs. SEATTLE SOUNDERS FC

Keane’s goal in Seattle wasn’t as pretty as his finish against Vancouver, but the difficulty was arguably just as high. The sequence began when Dave Romney played a pinpoint ball to a streaking Gyasi Zardes. Zardes then burned two defenders before finding Keane for the acrobatic tap-in inside the six-yard box.

JORGE HERNANDEZ vs. REAL COLORADO

The LA Galaxy Academy’s Jorge Hernandez finished off one of the best team goals you’ll ever see at the youth level during the Galaxy U-16’s match with Real Colorado. Hernandez started the play with a pass to Oscar Penate at the top of the box. Penate then delivered an audacious back heel pass into the path of Hernandez for the easy finish.

SEBASTIAN LLETGET vs. SEATTLE SOUNDERS FC

Sebastian Lletget sealed the LA Galaxy’s first trip to the U.S. Open Cup semifinals in a decade with his clever finish against Seattle last month. A true coast-to-coast effort, the play began with a Clement Diop goal kick to Gyasi Zardes, who brought the ball down and found Lletget. The two strikers played a nice give-and-go past the Seattle defense before Lletget buried a right-footed blast in the back of the net.
