Voting for the LA Galaxy’s Goal of the Month competition presented by 76 is now underway.
Goals by Robbie Rogers, Steven Gerrard, Jose Villarreal, and a pair from Giovani dos Santos were chosen for May's competition.
The highest vote-getter will join dos Santos and LA Galaxy II-leading goal scorer Jack McBean as winners of the monthly award.

LA Galaxy Goal of the Month competition presented by 76 Gas | MAY
GIOVANI DOS SANTOS vs. SPORTING KC
Giovani dos Santos kicked off a very successful month of May with a gorgeous chip in the Galaxy’s 1-1 draw with Sporting Kansas City. Sparked by a heads up play and through-ball from Gyasi Zardes, Dos Santos streaked past the defense before chipping Sporting KC goalkeeper Tim Melia for the classy finish.
GIOVANI DOS SANTOS vs. NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION
Whereas Giovani dos Santos’ goal against Sporting was all about skill, the Mexican striker showcased his power with a stunning volley from 20-yards in the Galaxy’s 4-2 win over the New England Revolution. Pouncing on a failed Revs clearance, Dos Santos smashed his shot in the top left corner of the Revolution net for the jaw-dropping goal.
STEVEN GERRARD vs. NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION
Steven Gerrard got into the fun with some world-class individual skills in the Galaxy’s victory against the Revolution. In the closing minutes of the match, Gerrard dribbled around a defender before nutmegging another to set up a left-footed effort that sailed past the Revolution goalkeeper.
ROBBIE ROGERS vs.PHILADELPHIA UNION
Teamwork reigned supreme for Robbie Rogers’ tally against the Philadelphia Union. Clever passing by the Galaxy carved open the Union defense leading to Dos Santos shimmying past a defender before finding Rogers near the end line for the close range goal.
JOSE VILLARREAL vs. VANCOUVER WHITECAPS FC 2
Jose Villarreal delivered a picture-perfect left-footed free kick during Los Dos’ match against Whitecaps FC 2. The rocket came in the 38th minute when the Inglewood native curled his set piece into the back of the Vancouver net. Villarreal has tallied four goals for Los Dos this season, which is second only to leading scorer Jack McBean.
