On Friday night Minnesota United will be holding an event at CHS Field in St. Paul, Minn. where an announcement is forthcoming on the "next chapter" for soccer in Minnesota, according to a post inviting supporters on the club site.
Fans around the world can watch the event via the video above or on YouTube beginning at 7 pm ET / 6 pm CT.
The scheduled speakers include MLS commissioner Don Garber, Minnesota United majority owner Dr. William McGuire, Minnesota governor Mark Dayton, and Saint Paul mayor Chris Coleman.
Minnesota was awarded an expansion team in March 2015 and in October of the same yearannounced plans for a new soccer stadium in St. Paul.
