France and Croatia will face off each other Sunday to crown the 2018 FIFA World Cup champion. This will be Croatia’s first appearance in a World Cup final, facing a more experienced opponent as France has reached this stage twice before (1998, 2006).
The two nations have met five times previously, France winning three matches, and the other two games ending in a draw. France’s Kylian Mbappe will be looking to score and become the second teenager in World Cup history to score in a final, after Pele in 1958. Croatia, on the other hand, will depend on experienced midfielders Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic to threaten France’s defense.
