After spending three seasons with UCLA, defender Nathan Smith elected to forgo his senior season and sign his first professional contract with the club on March 23, 2016. The former Galaxy Homegrown Player played in 24 matches with Los Dos in 2016. A reliable piece of the backline, Smith helped Los Dos to their third straight postseason appearance.

“I improved defensively: talking, communicating and being a leader I would say.”
What was one of your favorite moments of the season?
“I would say when we beat Portland 4-1 up at Merlo Field.”
What are your expectations for 2017?
“My expectations are to win the USL and to progress forward with the first team.”
