LA Galaxy II have signed former Orlando City SC defender Tyler Turner. Turner, 21, joins Los Dos after spending threeseasons with Orlando City SC.
“Tyler is a valuable acquisition for our club,” said LA Galaxy II Head Coach Mike Muñoz. “He has experience in MLS and will continue to grow as a member of LA Galaxy II. We are excited about his future within our organization.”
Turner signed with Orlando on Feb. 27, 2014 at the age of 17, making him the youngest signed player in the club’s history. Turner made seven appearances for OCSC in 2015 and was loaned to Orlando City B in 2016. There, Turner appeared in 26 matches, logging the second-most minutes on the team (1,991) throughout the season. During his time in Orlando, Turner most often featured in the right back role.
In 2015 and 2016, Turner featured in the Chipotle MLS Homegrown game under head coach and Landon Donovan. Internationally, Turner is a former U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team captain and has also featured for the U-20 and U-23 sides.
