LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Thursday, May 11, 2017) – LA Galaxy defender Robbie Rogers has been placed on the team’s Season Ending Injury (SEI) list, the club announced today. Rogers, 29, received surgery during the offseason for nerve damage sustained in his left ankle.
A 10-season veteran of MLS, Rogers has tallied 184 appearances, 78 of them with the Galaxy. He’s won two MLS Cups, with Columbus Crew in 2008 and with Galaxy in 2014. Last season, he made 19 starts for the Galaxy in addition to postseason starts in each of the team’s three playoff matches.
The LA Galaxy season continues this Sunday, when the Galaxy travel to face New York Red Bulls at 3:00 p.m. PT on Sunday, May 14 at Red Bulls Arena. The match will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Deportes.
