LA Galaxy join the fight to end child poverty on Red Nose Day -

Comic Relief, a nonprofit, launched in the United Kingdom with the goal of using comedy to raise money and help those living in poverty. Red Nose Day is Comic Relief’s campaign centered around having fun and using the power of comedy to end child poverty…. “one nose at a time”. The very first Red Nose Day was held in 1988 and the cause has raised over $1 billion globally to date. Since its launch in the U.S. in 2015, Red Nose Day has raised over $60 million to help kids and young people most in need.

Comic Relief’s efforts benefit various charitable partners that ensure that kids across the globe are safe, healthy, educated and empowered include Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Covenant House, Feeding America, and Children’s Health Fund, Rotary/End Polio Now.

Players and club staff around the league helped raise awareness for Comic Relief on Thursday, May 25th by using the power of comedy and encouraging fans to join the effort. For every post and repost shared on Twitter, Instagram and/or Facebook using #EndChildPoverty and tagging @MLS and/or @MLSWORKS, MLS WORKS will make a donation to Comic Relief.
