The LA Galaxy donated match proceeds for their Feb. 15 match against Fresno FC in Santa Barbara towards United Way of Santa Barbara County to support the Thomas Fire & Flood Fund.
The Galaxy defeated Fresno FC 3-1 at Harder Stadium thanks to goals from Sebastian Lletget, Chris Pontius and Tomas Hilliard-Arce.
During halftime of the match, the LA Galaxy presented a check to United Way of Santa Barbara County for the United Way Thomas Fire & Flood Fund. Additionally, a first responder honoree from the Thomas Fire & Mudslide was honored in a match coin-toss ceremony.
In additional support of the effort, the Galaxy hosted a meet up with first responders and those affected by Thomas Fire and Mudslide on Tuesday.
