CARSON, Calif. – StubHub Center began its storied existence as one of the top sports venues in the country with the Home Depot Track and Field Invitational in June 2003.
The first-ever event at the stadium, the meet was the first-ever Los Angeles-area stop on the USA Track and Field Circuit. A packed house greeted Olympic stars Maurice Greene, Stacy Dragila, and Anna Guevara as well as other top-notch Track and Field competitors from across the globe.
The track meet served as a coming out party for High School phenom and eventual Olympic gold medal winner Allyson Felix.
StubHub Center will celebrate its 15th anniversary on Saturday when the LA Galaxy host Real Salt Lake.
