LOS ANGELES (Monday, Aug. 20, 2018) – The LA Galaxy announced today that the club has loaned midfielder João Pedro to Gymnasticos Syllogos Apollon Smyrnis in the Super League, Greece’s first division. Pedro joins on a 10-month loan and the LA Galaxy maintain the right to recall the midfielder during the length of the loan.
Pedro, 25, joined the LA Galaxy from Vitória Guimarães of Portugal’s first division ahead of the 2017 Major League Soccer Season. In all, he has made 31 appearances with 27 starts while scoring one goal and recording two assists as a member of the Galaxy.
The Galaxy are in action next at StubHub Center for a match against LAFC this Friday, Aug. 24 at 7:30 p.m. PT.
